Think about how your designed project may create a great living environment for the society. 

Autodesk has a wide range of software for architecture, industrial design and animation, to help designers like you to stimulate and visualise your creative and innovative ideas. 

AMDC 2016 is designed to challenge you to DREAM, DESIGN & DELIVER in either one of these three categories:-

1. Architecture 

2. Industrial Design 

3. Creative Media Design

Come up with a design problem or issue faced by our society, propose a design intention and solution to the problem. That’s how you can help our members of society! Great prizes and certificates await you.

Entry Level 

Advanced 
-Open to all registered students undertaking Degree or Master programs in Malaysian higher learning institutions.
Intermediate
-Open to all registered students undertaking Diploma/ Certificate programs in Malaysian higher learning institutions.
Eligibility 
-Open to all full-time undergraduate and postgraduate students studying in higher learning institutions in Malaysia i.e. UA, IPT, IPTS, IPT MARA, which are recognised by MOHE, MQA and JPA. Institutions which are under the ministry other than MOHE are also welcomed to participate in this competition. All entries must be individual or in a group of one or two or three or four members. Entry with more than four members will be disqualified.
Judging Criteria 
-A panel of judges would use the following judging criteria for the selection of the winning designs:- 1. Originality of design - 40%
2. Clear and comprehensible design – 15%
3. 3D design in Autodesk software – 30%
4. Clear and specific presentation – 15%

Guidelines & Thought
Architecture

Design a public architecture with the best possible functionality, form and expression. Simplicity, flexibility and adaptability are key factors to create a sociable environment. The design can be a model of a building or a complex that serves the public good. The design should enhance and express the social values, with emphasis on the positive contribution to the society. All design will be judged based on broad use of Autodesk software. 

Recommended software: AutoCAD 3D and Autodesk Revit.

Industrial Design

Design a product that will be useful and convenient to its users. The product may also include a furniture or an automobile. The product must be fashionable, elegant, adaptable and easily adjustable to suit the users’ changing lifestyles. The designs are considered for their degree of innovation, aesthetic qualities, functionality and usefulness in addition to ease of realization and efficiency and human interaction. All design will be judged based on broad use of Autodesk software. Recommended software: Fusion 360, 3ds Max, Inventor

Creative Media Design

Design a product that will be useful and convenient to its users. The product may also include a furniture or an automobile.
